Personality Through Crafts

Our colleague, Belen, is a master crafter! If you can dream it, she can build it! She's been an incredible resource and leader for our students to try their hand at handmade crafts. It's so neat to see her creativity flow and for our students to practice fine motor skills and creative expression through the different, thoughtful crafts that Belen plans for each week. This week she led our students in a Christmas tree craft, where each tree had its own unique spin and personality. I love seeing our students do things they wouldn't otherwise have the chance to do and create. I love how our students help one another if a task is just a little too challenging. I love how proud our students are once they've completed the craft and get to show it off to their families. I love seeing their personalities show up in their crafts. I love that we get to demonstrate each person's uniqueness through crafts and that just as they lovingly as they created these trees, they were also lovingly created by a loving Father.
